RoHS, the Restriction of Hazardous Substances, is a mandatory standard enacted by the European Union. The standard was officially implemented on Jul. 1, 2006 and is mainly applied to standardize materials and process standards for electrical and electronic products. This is in order to make it more conducive to human health and environmental protection. The purpose of the standard is to eliminate a total of 6 substances, including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in electrical and electronic products. The standard emphasizes that lead content should not exceed 0.1%.
