Shanghai, March 5, 2019-- SIMCom Wireless Solutions Co., Ltd. (a SUNSEA AIOT company), the world’s #1 market share volume leader of cellular modules announced plans to launch a new Global Category 12 Module (SIM7912) powered by Qualcomm’s® Snapdragon™ X12 MDM9240 chipset. This new addition will be pin-to-pin compatible with existing LTE-Advanced offerings that include SIM7906 (Cat-6) to facilitate migrations across LTE-A categories.
SIMCom’s new SIM7912 supports multi-band LTE-FDD / LTE-TDD / HSPA+, as well as 256-QAM, 4×CA, 4×4 MIMO and other LTE-A Pro technologies, and has a maximum rate of 600 Mbps (DL)/150 Mbps (UL). The design of high-throughput data communication meets customers' requirements for high-speed grades. Additionally, the SIM7912 provides powerful expansion capabilities and a diversified application interface that supports UART, USB 3.0, and GPIO for ease of integration and optimal design flexibility.
The SIM7912 and LTE-A Series of products were designed to maximize compatibility and reuse. The SIM7912 supports global LTE bands, has dimensions of 42x32x2.3 mm and will be available in both M.2 and mPCIe form factors.
