Several LPWA Modules from SIMCOM have Passed GCF Certification

Recently, SIMCom’s LTE CAT-M1 (eMTC)/NB-IoT/GSM modules, SIM7000G and SIM7000E, have passed GCF certification. This demonstrates that both SIM7000G and SIM7000E offer reliable performance, meet global network deployment requirements, and have good compatibility of terminals and networks worldwide, which also helps enhance the competitiveness of its terminal products in the global market.

GCF (Global Certification Forum) certification is a test of great concern to operators and terminal manufacturers. The GCF members include network operators, GSM terminal manufacturers, GSM test equipment manufacturers and third-party GSM model certification and testing laboratories worldwide. Passing GCF certification means being accredited by all GCF operator members. Although it is not mandatory, most countries and regions across the world require terminal manufacturers to go through GCF standard testing or provide GCF certification. These requirements are very rigorous, especially in Europe and North America.

SIM7000G and SIM7000E are LTE CAT-M1 (eMTC)/NB-IoT/GSM modules based on Qualcomm platform and support 375Kbps uplink rate and 300Kbps downlink rate. They have a battery life of up to 10 years. With a wide range of interfaces such as UART, USB2.0, GPIO, etc. they are flexible to use and easy to integrate. Moreover, they are compatible with SIM900 and SIM800F in packaging and AT commands, which lower customer costs and shorten time to market. In addition, both SIM7000G and SIM7000E are 3GPP Rel-13 compliant.
